He has been primarily a television director throughout his career.
Nickelodeon fans ought to know that he directed certain episodes of The
Adventures of Pete and Pete and The Secret World of Alex Mack.
In an interview with The Daily, he said:
“I didn’t know anything about [Cry Baby Lane] being banned until you
told me about it. All I know is that they aired it once; I just assumed
they didn’t show it again because they didn’t like it. I did it, I
thought it failed, and I moved on.”
“‘Cry Baby Lane’ is a ghost story that I grew up with in Ohio. There
was a haunted farmhouse, and if you went up there at midnight, you could
hear a baby crying and it’d make your high school girlfriend scared, so
I just kinda expanded on that, pitched it as an idea and Nickelodeon liked
it.”

Bob Mittenthal cowrote and coproduced Cry Baby
Lane.
He created Nickelodeon shows such as Welcome Freshmen and Kablam!, and
worked as a writer on shows such as The Adventures of Pete and Pete,
Rugrats, 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd, and many more. He appears to still be
active with Nickelodeon.
Jase Blankfort plays the young protagonist, Andrew.
He has retired from acting and is currently a member of the band Glint.
Trey Rogers plays Andrew's older brother, Carl.
He has had some minor acting roles and was last active in 2011.
Frank Langella plays the undertaker, Mr. Bennett.
He has had a successful career in film, television, and theater, prompting Nickelodeon to insist that he be hired over Peter Lauer's first choice for the role, Tom Waits. He was born on January 1, 1938, in Bayonne, New Jersey, and began acting in high school. After graduating from Syracuse University, Langella started performing on stage, making his Broadway debut in 1963. He went on to star in numerous plays, including "Dracula" and "Frost/Nixon," for which he won a Tony Award. In addition to his stage work, Langella has appeared in films such as "Diary of a Mad Housewife," "Superman Returns," and "Frost/Nixon," for which he was nominated for an Academy Award. He has also appeared on television, including the series "The Americans" and "Kidding." Throughout his career, Langella has been praised for his commanding presence and versatile acting ability.
Larc Spies plays Kenneth, Mr. Bennett's nephew and assistant.
Spies has mostly done voice acting, but Nickelodeon fans ought to be aware of his one appearance in The Adventures of Pete and Pete episode "Halloweenie," where he played Ned Richmond.
Marc John Jefferies plays Hall, Andrew and Carl's neighbor.
After Cry Baby Lane, he featured in Monsters Inc, Stuart Little 2, The Haunted Mansion, Spider-Man 2, among many other movies and TV shows.
Gary Perez plays my favorite character, Gary, the gravedigger.
Gary has had countless acting roles on television from 1992 to the present day.
